Breeding Toy Breed Dogs

Breeding Yorkshire terriers and other small breed dogs is not as easy as you may think. My little Yorkie, Sarah, gave birth to four puppies last week, but only one survived. She is a tiny little thing, weighing in at 200 grams, or about 6 1/2 ounces, after day four. Sarah is learning to be a good mother but still does not have the patience to nurse the baby for very long at a time.
